Reunion 2008

July 11 - 14 was a fabulous time of reunion! Four of the families that had adopted together met outside of Philadelphia, PA to reconnect. We hope that more of the families will be able to gather next year. We had a blast! We spent two days at Sesame Place - a Sesame Street themed park for children ages 2-7. It has both regular and water rides. We stayed dry on Saturday and wet on Sunday. On Monday we just relaxed by the pool and at Chick-fil-A. We are hoping to make this an annual event. We believe that it is so important for these girls to stay connected. Three of the girls that attended, Hannah Ruth, Ella, and Mia were from the same orphanage. As amazing as it seems to me, Hannah Ruth has probably known Ella and Mia longer than she has known us. There are lots of pictures, so take your time and enjoy! The top picture is of the four families that attended. Rick could not go, so Ryan went with us and was a big help and favorite of all the girls. (He was also a favorite of the other teenage girls he would meet when he was not with two year olds.) The other picture shows Hannah Ruth, Ella, Aliyah, and Mia flanked by Mia's sisters Maggie and Hannah. They are wearing matching dresses that Jenny (Mia's mom) brought with her. Hannah Ruth LOVES hers.

How sweet of Mia's mom to take matching dresses for the girls. They look adorable. I love the pictures of all the little girls together. Hopefully they will all grow up knowing each other. Love...
