Forever Family Day 2008

September 18, 2008 is two years since Hannah Ruth was placed in my arms for the first time. We celebrated fairly low key. HR had gymnastics and from there we went out to eat at our favorite Chinese restaurant. After eating, we went to our recently opened Barnes and Noble and bought some new books. After that we went to Baskin Robbins for ice cream where HR had Wild and Wacky which is a rainbow sherbet with VIVID colors. When we got home we had a Video Call on skype with Richmond. We really missed Richmond that day - our forever family was missing someone.

Rick remembered to give Hannah Ruth her purple balloons. We planned on our first forever family day to take a family picture on the front porch every year. We decided to wait on that until Richmond is home for fall break. Rick also bought Hannah Ruth a canopy that we are decorating. She calls it her ladybug tent. It will be a place for her to play or she can put it over her bed.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the joy this adorable person would bring to our home. Life is exciting every day. Hannah Ruth eats life. She is full of life (and very lively.) I look forward to many more Forever Family Days to come.
